The Factor of affecting cutting in CNC machining
(1) work piece material: the material contains two aspects: the quality of the material itself includes the alloy element, hardness and heat treatment state of the material, which will affect the chip thickness and the chip curl directly . Soft steel has a larger chip thickness than hard steel; hard steel is not easily curled with soft steel; it is not easy to crimp chip thickness; but it is not easy to curl when the chip thickness of the soft steel is too thick. Two is the shape of the work piece is also an important factor.
2. A reasonable tool cutting area geometric parameter is the most commonly used method to improve the control ability of chip formation and chip breaking reliability. The front angle is inversely proportional to the chip thickness, and has the best value for different processed materials. The main angle directly affects the chip thickness and width.
3.The three elements of the cutting amount will limit the chip breaking range. The main influence on chip breaking is feed rate and back feed, while cutting speed has the least influence on chip breaking in conventional cutting speed.
(4) modern NC machine tools use CNC editing function to change the feed rate periodically, so as to achieve the purpose of forcing chip breaking, usually called "program controlled chip breaking". The chip breaking reliability is high, but the cutting economy is low.
