Tolerances In The CNC Machining
There are also some tolerances in the CNC machining. There are four main tolerances.
1. tolerance of machining principle
The tolerance of machining principle is due to the error caused by the approximate machining mode or the approximate tool profile. Because of the tolerance in the machining principle, it is called the machining principle tolerance. As long as the principle tolerance is within the allowable range, the machining method is still feasible.
2, the geometric tolerance of the CNC machine
The manufacturing tolerance, installation error and wear in the machine tool directly affect the machining accuracy of the work piece. Among them are the spindle rotation of CNC machine, the linear movement of CNC machine guide and the error of machine tool drive chain.
3, the manufacturing tolerance and wear of the cutter
The machining tolerance, installation error and wear in the machining of CNC tools affect the machining accuracy of the work piece. During the cutting process, the cutting edge and blade face are strongly rubbed with the work piece and chip, causing the tool to wear. When the tool wear reaches a certain value, the surface roughness of the work piece increases, and the chip color and shape change, accompanied by vibration. Tool wear will directly affect cutting productivity, machining quality and cost.
CNC machining accuracy can not be perfect, so long as the tolerance is controlled within a certain range, Manufacturing tolerance and wear of cutting tools.
