numerical control machining
The historical of numerical control machining:
Numerical control technology originated from the needs of aviation industry. In the late 1940s, a helicopter company in the United States proposed.
In 1952, Massachusetts Institute of Technology developed the three axis CNC milling machine. In the mid 50s, this CNC milling machine was used to process aircraft parts. In 60s, numerical control systems and programming are becoming more and more mature and perfect. CNC machine have been used in various industrial sectors, but aerospace industry is always the largest user of CNC machine. Some large aviation factories are equipped with hundreds of CNC machines, mainly cutting machines. The parts of the NC machining include the whole wall of the aircraft and the rocket, the beam, the skin, the frame, the propeller, the mold cavity of the shaft, the disc and the blade, and the special cavity surface of the liquid rocket engine combustion chamber. The development of CNC machine is mainly based on continuous trajectory CNC machine and continuous trajectory control.
Continuous trajectory control, also known as contour control, requires the tool to move relative to the parts according to the prescribed trajectory. In the future, the position control CNC machine are vigorously developed. Point control means that the tool moves from one position to another, as long as it reaches the target accurately at last, regardless of the moving route.
