Selection of CNC work piece
The common kinds of CNC work piece are: Castings, forgings, parts, welded parts, stamping parts and so on, and the same kind of material may have different manufacturing methods. The choice of material should consider the size of the production scale, which largely determines the economy of a certain material manufacturing method. If the production scale is large, high precision and high productivity can be used to manufacture the material so that the first investment is high, the cost of dividing into each material is less. Moreover, the productivity of high precision material making method is higher generally, not only to save raw materials but also to reduce the amount of machining labor.
The shape and size of the work piece should be considered when selecting CNC work piece. For example, the material with complex shape and thin wall can not be cast by metal mould. The larger size material can not be used in die forging, die casting and investment casting. In addition, some small parts with more special shapes because of the difficult machining.
